Description

This is part of a series of customary designs I did in Ceramics class.

The assignment was to make vases out of clay, and so I did this.

What are these exactly?

Well, truth be told, these are fantasy cultures that I created myself out of my constant study in mythology and fantasy. They are based on the history of Europe and Asia before the hype of the Early Modern Period.

Might make good for the campaign, you know. Now these pictures I'm displaying are not fantastic kingdoms, but fantastic EMPIRES. I divided each one of these into 3 realms, each realm consisting of a fraction of Medieval, Asian, and Ancient European cultures, each realm being governed by a high king, while the Emperor rules his own capital city that composes of three references obviously.

Three realms are as follows:
Emperor: Germans, Early Medieval/Gothic, and Silk Road
Settlers: Colonists, Nephites, and Indonesians
Renaissance: Renaissance Italy, Early Christianity, and Ming Dynasty
Pilgrims: Reformers, Israel, and Colonial India.

Religions: Protestant Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism

There is a reason the Monguin, being a monkey-penguin hybrid, is on top of this one. An emerging empire that is founded to help make things better for the whole world.

These guys are forward thinkers. They are the revolutionists. They invent firearms and cultural redemption techniques. As a New Age empire, they are the most romantic one of the bunch. It doesn't matter if you were to live in the beautiful cities of the Renaissance realm, the free lands of the Settlers, or the holy lands governed by the High King of the Pilgrims, wherever you might find in the empire of Hebub, you will most certainly find peace there. This is because this is the righteous branch, one that would not have deities of a pantheon in a particular Dungeons and Dragons setting, but Protestant sects to choose from instead.

One of the highlights I could think of: pizza! Surely, the Renaissance realm may be master chefs for this matter, but they have to import tomatoes from the Settlers first. Also, Pilgrims had access to the spices and silk which really helped make Hebub the most beautiful, romantic, and exciting of the 6 empires. As for their suits of armor, they were rather quite beautiful. So, which part of the Hebub Empire do you want to live in? To me, surely a nice downtown area in the heart of a colorful city of the Renaissance faction, but I would rather be with the Settlers.

People around here know about meditation and personal spiritual freedom more than any other empire I know of.

As I looked back at these empires, I realized I have referenced just about every religion in the world, both old and new, well, except for Atheism, but even something like that might be found in the Rebar faction, as it is the faction of the Rebels. In this case, I referenced Protestant Christianity, modern Catholicism, not the Medieval one, Hebrew, Buddhist, and even Mormonism, as I referenced the Nephites from the Book of Mormon.
