This is a reference to one really classic moment in Red vs. Blue series.
Grif: I know, but why Warthog? I mean, it doesn't really look like a pig.
Sarge: (after a brief pause) Say that again.
Grif: I think it looks more like a puma.
Sarge: What in Sam **** is a puma?
Simmons: Uh, you mean like the shoe company?
Grif: No, like a puma. It's a big cat, like a lion.
Sarge: You're making that up.
Grif: I'm telling you, it's a real animal!
Sarge: Simmons, I want you to poison Grif's next meal.
Simmons: Yes, sir
Exact conversation this is supposed to reference
I had a Timon T shirt that I wore when I was at Walt Disney World and wore the very socks from the very shoe company mentioned above with the shirt on purpose. What makes this idea even funnier is that this probably wasn't intentional in the long run. Heck, I don't know of anybody that has caught the unintentional connection besides my brother when he saw me wearing the socks with the shirt. (He got me the shirt when he was there)
Let me know what you think.
PS: Timon's species is part of the mongoose family, according to Wikipedia.
